2022-2023 Mill Rate

The Town of Old Saybrook has published the next fiscal year Mill Rate commencing this July, and ending June 30, 2023. The Mill Rate for Real & Personal Property: 20.08, and the Mill Rate for Motor Vehicle: 20.08.

Therefore, the tax rate of 20.08 mills is equivalent to $20.08 per $1,000.00 of the taxable property assessed value. According to the State of Connecticut, to calculate the property tax, multiply the assessment of the property by the mill rate, and divide by 1,000.

For example, if a house is assessed at $300,000.00, the calculation would be as follows: $300,000.00 X 20.08 Mills, divided by 1,000 equals a tax bill of $6,024.00.
